What does a user need to work with apps in the Core-iQ portal? A user needs to have a modern web browser that can support HTML5 (see below), a broadband internet connection with at least 2 Mbps capability, and outbound access to the internet via HTTPS (443).
Devices and browsers
Users can access Core-iQ portal through an HTML5-capable web browser on a desktop computer such as a Windows, Mac, Chromebook, or Linux computer.
HTML5-capable web browsers that can be used include the following:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Safari
- Microsoft Edge
- Microsoft Internet Explorer version 11 or later
No browser extensions or plugins are required to use COR in a web browser. COR provides dual-monitor support on web browsers and 4-monitor and 4K monitor.
Users can also access COR streaming sessions on the following browsers and devices:
- Chrome or Safari on an iPad (iOS 11 or later)
- Android (Android 8 or later)
- Microsoft Surface Pro (Windows 10) tablet
⚠️ Core-iQ is not supported on devices that have screen resolutions smaller than 1024x768 pixels.
⚠️Note that Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) does not support audio input, and the microphone option will not appear in the toolbar in streaming sessions running in IE11.
Bandwidth
To optimize the performance of Core-iQ portal, make sure that your network bandwidth and latency can sustain your users' needs.
The recommended bandwidth and latency for streaming sessions in the Core-iQ portal depends on the workload. For example, a user who works with graphic-intensive applications to perform computer-aided design tasks will require more bandwidth and lower latency than a user who works with business productivity applications to write documents.
